Sincona sale 102, lot 5620

This specimen was lot 5620 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 3,750 CHF (about US$5,652 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton. Doppeltaler 1622, Zürich. Sehr selten. Kleiner Randfehler. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, double thaler of 1622, Zürich mint. Very rare, Minor edge flaw, Good Very Fine.)"

This issue was accompanied by a batzen (KM 36), half dicken (KM A30), a dicken with a shield obverse (KM 32), klippe dicken (KM 33), a dicken with a lion obverse (KM 30), half thaler (KM 35), thaler (KM 37) and a goldgulden (KM 39). It was struck again in 1624.
