Fribourg 1622 batzen KM-15
This specimen was lot 3188 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 450 CHF (about US$604 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Freiburg/Fribourg, Stadt und Kanton, Batzen 1622, Freiburg. Burg nach rechts. Rv. Ankerkreuz. Sehr schön. Exemplar der Slg. Kunzmann, Auktion SINCONA 53, Zürich, Oktober 2018, Los 6255. (Switzerland, canton of Fribourg, batzen of 1622, Fribourg mint. Obverse: castle to right; reverse: anchor cross. Very fine.)"
This type was struck 1621-22 and undated. It is scarce. Another batzen of 1622-23, 1630-31, 1641 and 1648 (KM 17) features St. Nicholas on the reverse. It is much more available.
