Sincona sale 91, lot 3440

This specimen was lot 3440 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$132 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Schwyz, Batzen 1622, Schwyz. Damasziertes, spanisches Wappen. Rv. Gekrönter Doppeladler mit Nimben. Selten. Sehr schön. Exemplar der Slg. R. Kunzmann, Auktion SINCONA 53, Zürich, Oktober 2018, Los 6624. (Switzerland, canton of Schwyz, batzen of 1622, Schwyz mint. Obverse: damasked, Spanish style arms; reverse: crowned and nimbate double headed eagle. Rare, Very fine.)"

The SCWC records this batzen in three styles for 1622: KM 12 (Spanish shield, shown here), KM 13 (Curved and arched shield) and KM 14 (Square-cornered shield). All three have moderate catalog values.
