This specimen was lot 32726 in Heritage Sale 3115 (Chicago, May 2024), where it sold for $3,360. The catalog description[1] noted, "Netherlands: West Friesland. Provincial silver Ducat 1757-(Rooster) MS65 NGC. The brilliance of this specimen transgresses the limits of still photography, featuring bountiful cartwheel luster and a glossy, almost cryogenic impression to the high-relief devices. None finer at the grading companies." This subtype was struck 1744-47, 1752-59; Westfriesland was one of the lesser producers of this denomination. The rooster mintmark was used 1749-61.

Recorded mintage: 1,497,719 for 1756-59.
