This specimen was lot 1349 in Jean Elsen sale 163 (Brussels, November 2025), where it sold for €750 (about US$866 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"PROVINCES-UNIES, WEST-FRIESLAND, AR ducat d'argent (zilveren dukaat), 1778. D/ Guerrier deb. à d., ten. une épée et l'écu de la province. R/ Écu couronné de la Généralité. De la plus haute rareté. Patine foncée. Traces de corrosion marine. Provient de l'épave de l'Evstaffi (1780). (United Provinces, province of Westfriesland, silver ducat of 1778. Obverse: knight right, holding a sword and the arms of the province; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality. Extremely rare, nice patina, traces of corrosion, Fine - Very Fine.)"

This type was struck 1707-08, 1746-47, 1752-67, 1770-76, 1781-96. The SCWC divides this into subtypes with various mintmarks. For Westfriesland, silver ducats are scarcer than ducatons.
