Sincona sale 69, lot 910

This specimen was lot 910 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 1,450 CHF (about US$1,925 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"THE NETHERLANDS | Westfriesland, Provinz. Dukat 1757. 7 über 6. Selten. (Netherlands, province of Westfriesland, ducat of 1757/6. Rare. NGC MS64+.)"

This province struck ducats with various mintmarks throughout the eighteenth century. The rooster mintmark was used 1749-61.

Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 3.48 g.
