Steve Album sale 55, lot 3144

This specimen was lot 3144 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "UKRAINE: Republic, AR 10 hryven, 2005, Ritual Holidays of Ukraine Series – Intercession, struck at the Ukrainian mint, Kyiv, with COA of issue, Proof." This denomination was used for numerous commemoratives in 2005, including KM 358, KM 367 (shown here), KM 370, KM 371, KM 372, KM 373, KM 381 and KM 382, all struck to the same module. This NCLT reverted to sterling silver. The hryvnia was introduced in 1996 to supersede the karbovanets (1 hryvnia = 100,000 karbovantsiv). Its sign is "₴". At present (June 2026), US$1 = 45.07 hryven.

Recorded mintage: 8,000.

Specifications: 33.62 g, 0.925 fine silver, 38.61 mm diameter, reeded edge.
