The specimen shown was lot 663 in Cayon Subastas sale in Madrid, on February 4 2012, where it sold for 1100 € (about US$1708 including buyer's fees). The catalog description [1] noted,
"Sevilla. 8 reales. 1731. PA vertical. MBC+, bonito tono. (Seville 8 reales, 1731-PA placed vertically. Very fine +, nice toning.)"
This type was issued at Seville 1731-1736. All the early eight reales of Spain are rare and expensive.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.7859 troy oz ASW.
