Shown is a Spanish two reales struck in 1731 at the Seville mint. Assayer PA is recorded for the years 1731-1736. This specimen was auctioned by Cayon Subastas in Madrid, Spain, on September 16, 2011, where it hammered for 40 Euros (about US$65 including buyer's fees). The catalog description reads:
"Sevilla. 2 reales. 1721, 24 y 31. J y PA. Cy8728, 60 y 8810. BC y MBC-. Lote de tres piezas (3) (two reales of 1721, 1724 and 1731, Seville mint, fine to about very fine; three coins in the lot)."
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 6.77 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.1965 troy oz ASW.
