This specimen was lot 73353 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. Cob 2 Reales, 1591-Fo G. Granada Mint. Philip II. PCGS VF-35. From the Richard August Collection." This type is noted for 1590-98 and undated. Similar cobs were struck at Valladolid, Seville, Madrid, Segovia and Toledo. The Granada mint operated intermittently until 1685.
