Künker sale 335, lot 4836

This specimen was lot 4836 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €360 (about US$471 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH. DIE GEISTLICHKEIT IN DEN HABSBURGISCHEN ERBLANDEN, Sigismund III. von Schrattenbach, 1753-1771. 20 Kreuzer 1756. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Holy Roman Empire, archbishopric of Salzburg, Sigismund III of Schrattenbach, 1753-71, twenty kreuzer of 1756, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1754-56. Earlier in the century, the twenty kreuzer was one-third gulden or one quarter thaler, but by this issue had slipped to one-sixth thaler.
