This specimen was lot 237 in Sincona Auction 99 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 170 CHF (about US$256 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Nicholas I. 1825-1855, 10 Kopecks 1853, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB NI. NGC MS63." This type was struck 1832-58 in large numbers and this is a common date. In 1859, the silver was reduced to 0.750 fine and reduced again to 0.500 fine in 1867.
