This specimen was lot 72735 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 10 Kopeks, 1855-CNB HI. St. Petersburg Mint. Alexander II. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield. Deep amber and azure hues adorn the surfaces of this Near Gem piece. The fields are exceptionally clean, with barely any contact marks showing. Highly attractive and original." This type was produced 1832-58 in large quantities. The weight and fineness were reduced in 1867 (Y20a.2).
