This specimen was lot 32302 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $1,140. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Poltina (1/2 Ruble), 1852-CNB NA. St. Petersburg Mint. Nicholas I. NGC MS-63. Abundantly lustrous and supremely argent, this Choice minor is one of the more elite representatives that one will encounter, being bested in the NGC census by just two others. As such, no doubt worthy of an elite bid and increased focus." This type is listed for 1832-58 and was emitted in substantial quantities at St. Petersburg and Warsaw. Assayer ПА (Pavel Alekseev) is listed for 1850-52.

Recorded mintage: 720 000 (assayers ПА and HI).

Specification: 10.36 g, 0.868 fine silver, .289 troy oz ASW, 28.5 mm diameter.
