Sincona sale 65, lot 90

This specimen was lot 90 in Sincona sale 65 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 2,000 CHF (about US$2,633 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"2 Kopecks 1764, Suzun Mint. Novodel. Bitkin H1091 (R2). Very rare. 8 roubles according to Ilyin. NGC MS66 RB. (2 копейки 1764, Сузунский МД. Новодел. Биткин Н1091 (R2). Очень редкие. 8 рублей по Ильину. В слабе NGC MS66 RB.) Ex auction SINCONA AG 12, Zürich, October 2013, lot 328. Ex. Soedermann. Collector's note: "RR. Rare. No mintmark. Milled edge. Thin planchet". This novodel does not correspond to any production type. It resembles the two kopeks (KM C4) struck for Siberia 1764-80 at Kolyvan. The production coin had a "KM" mintmark.
