This specimen was lot 296 in Sincona sale 78 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$60 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Catherine II. 1762-1796, Grivennik 1764, Red Mint. 1 rouble according to Petrov. Very fine." This type was struck for Catherine II 1764-66 without mintmark. We presume (as do the auctioneers) that these came from the Moscow mint, as the St. Petersburg product has the СПБ mintmark. This type is scarce but not rare.
Recorded mintage: 340,000.
Specification: 2.37 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen is 2.42 g.
