This specimen was lot 39 in Sincona sale 12 (Zürich, October 2013), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$905 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Polushka 1707, Naberezhny Mint. Good very fine. Obv. Eagle in circle. Dot. Rev. Iljin 1-2 roubles, T III,100." Altho Russia was nominally on a decimal system, this coin being a quarter of a kopek, we may be sure that the peasants who used this coin called it a polushka.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 2.13 g, copper, this specimen 1.83 g.
