This specimen was lot 24836 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $11,750. The catalog description[1] noted, "Peter I Poltina (1/2 Rouble) 1707, Kadashevsky mint, AU55 NGC. Obv. Laureate and armored bust right. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle with Cyrillic date below. Superbly struck, with gray and russet toning over surfaces free of significant flaws. A stunning example of this rare Peter the Great issue." This poltina, or half ruble, was struck 1707 and 1710 only and is scarce.
