This specimen was lot 24058 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $646.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Prussia. Friedrich Wilhelm III Taler 1818-A, MS64 NGC, an attractive coin with silvery-gray toning and full underlying mint brilliance." This type was issued 1816-22 at Berlin (shown here) and Düsseldorf and is common in worn condition. This is the most common date.

Specification: 22.27 g, 0.750 fine silver, .537 troy oz ASW.
