Künker sale 353, lot 3911

This specimen was lot 3911 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €100 (about US$139 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm II. 1786-1797. 4 Groschen (1/6 Taler) 1797, E, Königsberg. Vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William II, 1786-97, four groschen or one sixth thaler of 1979, Königsberg mint. Extremely fine.)"

This type, struck 1796-98, replaced the old 1/6 thaler.
