Künker sale 352, lot 1833

This specimen was lot 1833 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €2,800 (about US$3,897 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm II. 1786-1797. Friedrichs d'or 1797, B, Breslau. GOLD. R Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick WIlliam II, 1786-97, frederick d'or of 1797, Breslau mint. Rare, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This is the last year of issue for the friedrichs d'or of Friedrich Wilhelm II. Breslau mint issues have lower mintages than the Berlin mint product for most years but the SCWC does not award them a premium.
