This type was struck 1957, 1965-85 as the communist regime in Poland slowly deteriorated under foreign debt and internal unrest. Some were struck at Kremnica in 1975-78 but the rest were made in Warsaw. Most dates are common. The denomination was terminated in 1990 with the collapse of the regime.

Recorded mintage: 59,843,000 plus 5,000 proofs.

Specification: 2.07 g, aluminum, 25 mm diameter.
