This specimen was lot 1058 in Jean Elsen sale 139 (Brussels, December 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"POLOGNE, République (1919-), AV 2000 Zlotych, 1981. Bolesław II Smialy (1058-1079). Flan poli. (republic of Poland, since 1919, gold two thousand zlotych of 1981, Bolesław II Smialy, 1058-79, Proof.)"

This NCLT honors the medieval king who unified Poland.
