from the Stack's Bowers 2017 ANA sale, lot 23146

This specimen was lot 23146 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "POLAND. 2,000 Zlotych, 1980-MW. NGC PROOF-69 ULTRA CAMEO. Lake Placid Olympics: Ski Jumper. Hard mirror fields with frosted cameo devices. From the Vincent Alones Collection." This denomination was used to strike gold NCLT's 1977-89 with this weight standard used until 1981. This type was accompanied by a silver 200 zlotych (KM Y110).

Recorded mintage: 5,250.

Specification: 8 g, 0.900 fine gold, .231 troy oz AGW.
