This type was struck 1961-85 as the communist regime in Poland slowly deteriorated under foreign debt and internal unrest. Some were struck at Kremnica 1973-74 but the rest were made in Warsaw. Most dates are common. The denomination was terminated in 1985, inflation having rendered it worthless.

Recorded mintage: 71,204,000.

Specification: 0.70 g, aluminum, 17.6 mm diameter.
