This specimen was lot 22401 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $2,056.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carlos IIII gold 8 Escudos 1803-JP, KM101, AU55 NGC, extra attractive and lustrous for the grade." This coin was minted 1792-1808 and is the most common Peruvian colonial eight escudos.
