Mexico 1895-Go R 10 centavos

from the Stack's Bowers sale of the Kirk Menczer Collection, lot 71335

This specimen was lot 71335 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $384. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1895-Go R. Guanajuato Mint. NGC MS-66. Finest of only three graded by NGC. Second finest of three graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." The Guanajuato mint struck this silver ten centavos 1869-97 and its replacement with a redesigned eagle 1898-1900.

Recorded mintage: 355,000, a common date.

Specification: 2.70 g, 0.903 fine silver, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
