This specimen was lot 31397 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ferdinand VII gold 4 Escudos 1819 Mo-JJ AU50 NGC, Mexico City mint. Very lustrous with only limited wear and the expected handling marks, yet softly struck as commonly seen on examples of this issue. The usually available date of this scarce type, but rather unusual and desirable in this quality. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins."
