The third specimen was lot 1027 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 950 CHF (about US$1,279 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[3] noted,

This type was struck AH 1311 only during the reign of Nasir al-Din Shah, who was assassinated while preparing to celebrate the 50th year of his rule. Tomans exist for AH 1311 with a closed wreath on the reverse (KM 933) and with the lion on the obverse (KM 989). We used the KM number in the title as Friedberg does not distinguish between tomans with or without the obverse legend. One toman was ten krans or ten thousand dinars.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 2.87 g, 0.900 fine gold, the first specimen 2.80 g, the third specimen 2.86 g.

Catalog reference: KM 937.
