This specimen was lot 944 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "Iran. Toman, AH1311 (1894). Nasir al-Din Shah, 1848-1896. Well struck and untoned. Pop 1; The only one graded at PCGS. PCGS graded MS-62." This type was struck AH 1297-1313, with AH 1311 being a better date. Tomans exist for AH 1311 with a crowned wreath on the reverse (KM 937) and with the lion on the obverse (KM 989). One toman was ten krans or ten thousand dinars.
