India 1907(c) rupee

from the Stack's Bowers 2017 ANA sale, lot 22573

This specimen was lot 22573 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "INDIA. Rupee, 1907-(c). PCGS MS-63+ Secure Holder. Attractive crescent toning at the 6 o'clock position with soft satin luster." The rupees of Edward VII were struck 1903-10 and most dates are common. Proofs are rare. The Bombay mint contributed another 170,912,000.

Recorded mintage: 81,338,000.
