This specimen was lot 34264 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $300. The catalog description[1] noted, "India: British India. Edward VII 1/2 Rupee 1907-B MS62 NGC, Bombay mint. Showcasing a nearly problem-free obverse, clearly struck from well-polished dies." The half rupees of Edward VII were struck 1904-10 and most dates are common. Proofs are rare. The Calcutta mint contributed another 2,786,000 in 1907.
Recorded mintage: 1,856,000 plus proofs and restrikes.
Specification: 5.83 g, 0.917 fine silver, 0.1708 troy oz ASW.
