This specimen was lot 45381 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONDURAS. 5 Centavos, 1902. PCGS MS-64." This is the last date of a type originally issued 1884-86. Five centavos were struck in 1896 but were of a different style. As dies were extensively reused, innumerable varieties exist. This example shows heavy die clash and considerable repunching around the date.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specifications: 1.25 g, 0.835 fine silver, 15.5 mm diameter.
