Honduras 1902 centavo
This specimen was lot 1097 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 38 (Winter Park, FL, November 2025), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONDURAS, Tegucigalpa, copper 1 centavo, 1902, small 0, PCGS MS 63 BN, finest and only example in PCGS census. Choice strike with tall rims and all but some of the highest points well defined, traces of original color and luster, the best at PCGS and tying NGC's best in Brown (with one finer at MS 64 in Red-Brown) for the small-0 variety." This type was struck 1881, 1884-86, 1889-90, 1896-1904, 1907 and the 1903 is the key date. Many varieties of these feature crudely reworked dies.
