This specimen was lot 41481 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Hannover. 1/24 Taler, 1854-B. Hannover Mint. Georg V. NGC MS-64." This billon type was struck 1854-56. Hannover was on the losing side of the Austro-Prussian war of 1864 and found herself annexed in 1866.
