This specimen was lot 819 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,900 (about US$2,455 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"KÖNIGREICH HANNOVER Georg V. 1851-1866. Taler 1853, B. Münzbesuch. RR Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (kingdom of Hannover, George V, 1851-66, thaler of 1853, mint visit. Rare, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This rare type, issued for a visit to the mint by the king and queen in 1853, is not listed in the SCWC but is noted in Davenport.
