This specimen was lot 1167 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $105.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "HANNOVER: AR 1/24 thaler, 1835-B, struck in Hannover, PCGS graded MS64, ex Don Erickson Collection." This type of 1834-37 is the last issued under William IV, king of England. On his death, his niece Victoria ascended the throne of England and Hannover passed to the king's brother Ernest August, severing a connection started in 1714. This date is common. This type was also struck at Clausthal (mintmark "A").
