This specimen was lot 74588 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 6 Mariengroschen (1/6 Taler), 1780-CES. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg III (George III of Great Britain). PCGS AU-53. This minor offers old cabinet toning with subdued luster emanating from beneath the patina. Attractive. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1762-84 for George III along with KM 366 with a bust obverse, which is rather scarcer.
