This specimen was lot 73605 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1732-IAB. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg II August (George II of Great Britain). PCGS AU-55. A lovely bright argent example with subtle toning. Well-struck from slightly worn dies, detailing the well-sculpted features of the Wild Man. Attractive. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1730-43 with mintmaster IAB serving 1731-38 and is the most common for the date. Other gulden for 1732 include KM 226 (1732-CPS, bust obverse, very rare), KM 227 (1732-CPS, leaping stallion, scarce) and KM 228 (1732-IAB, leaping stallion, rare).
