Hannover 1732-CPS 2/3 thaler KM-227
This specimen was lot 5201 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €300 (about US$388 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, AB 1692 KURFÜRSTENTUM HANNOVER, Georg II. 1727-1760. 2/3 Taler 1732, Zellerfeld. Vorzüglich. (electorate of Hannover, George II, 1727-60, two-thirds thaler of 1732, Zellerfeld mint. Extremely fine.)"
This "leaping stallion" gulden was struck 1730-37 and is a somewhat better type. It has the weight of 4/9 thaler. Other gulden for 1732 included KM 226 (bust obverse), KM 229 (wild man reverse) and KM 228 (leaping stallion reverse).
