This specimen was lot 2565 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$133 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, Herzogtum, Georg II. 1727-1760. 1/3 Taler 1732, Clausthal. Feinsilber. Mit der Münzmeistersignatur CPS. Selten. Gutes sehr schön (Rare, Good very fine)." The 12 mariengroschen was terminated after 1715. This one-third thaler, which superseded it, was struck 1732-36. Another one-third thaler, also dated 1732-CPS, has a St. Andrew reverse.
