This specimen was lot 41361 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 24 Mariengroschen, 1701. Zellerfeld Mint; mm: three stars. Georg Ludwig (future George I of Great Britain). PCGS AU-58. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1698-1711 and is common. In 1714, Georg Ludwig ascended the throne of Great Britain and all the Hanoverian coinage was revised to show his new title the next year. The next issue of this denomination was in 1750.
