Stack's Bowers 2025 NYINC sale, lot 37053

This specimen was lot 37053 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, ND (1631-32). London Mint; mm: Rose. Charles I. PCGS EF-45. From the Richard August Collection." This silver penny was struck by Charles I at the beginning of the period he was attempting to rule without Parliament.
