This specimen was lot 21034 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $3,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Unite (20 Shillings), ND (1605-06). James I (1603-25). NGC AU-55. Second bust. Rose mintmark. SCARCE. Impressive detail on this mark-free piece, on a smooth flat planchet. Slight weakness on reverse at base of shield mentioned for accuracy. Attractive luster remains in the peripheral devices. Well struck, lightly toned and quite attractive. A lovely example sure to see spirited bidding." This unite of James' second issue was accompanied by a rose ryal (Fr-230), angel (Fr-232), half angel, spur ryal (Fr-231), double crown (Fr-235), crown and half crown (Fr-237). With the accession of James I we drop "England" as the country name and adopt the current "Great Britain."
