This specimen was lot 3076 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "ENGLAND: James I, 1603-1625, AR shilling, ND (1605-6), second coinage, fourth bust, armor plainer, rose mintmark, clipped down, Fine, ex Michael More Collection." The SCWC lists six different shillings for James I, none dated. This one is dated to v by the rose mintmark on the reverse. This type is available but expensive in nice condition.

Specifications: 6.02 g, 0.925 fine silver, 30 mm diameter, this specimen 5.79 g.
