This specimen was lot 75453 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $125. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Groat (2 Pence), ND (1605-06). London Mint; mm: Rose. James I. PCGS EF-45. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck 1604-09 with various mintmarks. The reverse legend "TVEATVR • VNITA • DEVS •" translates as, "May God protect this Union". The silver halfgroat is still struck for the Maundy sets but has long ceased to circulate.
