This specimen was lot 2671 in Stephen Album sale 45 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "ENGLAND: James I, 1603-1625, AR penny, ND (1605-06), Second Coinage, rose mintmark, well struck, NGC graded AU53." This type was struck 1604-19. It bears no date but the eye mintmark narrows it down to 1605-06, early in James's reign.
