Steve Album Auction 53, lot 3057

This specimen was lot 3057 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Third Reich, AE 5 reichspfennig, 1937-F, incorrectly labeled 1937-A by PCGS, a fantastic reflective proof example! PCGS graded Proof 66 CAM, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This type was struck by the Nazis 1936-39. This is a product of the Stuttgart mint.

Recorded mintage: 2,092,000, a better date but the proofs are rare.

Specification: 2.44 g, aluminum bronze, 18.1 mm diameter.
