Steve Album Auction 53, lot 3056

This specimen was lot 3056 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $420. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GERMANY: Third Reich, AE 2 reichspfennig, 1937-A, a lovely lustrous caramel red-brown proof example! PCGS graded Proof 63 RB, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This type was struck by the Nazis 1936-40.

Recorded mintage: 34,403,593, a common date but the proofs are rare.

Specification: 3.31 g, bronze, 20.2 mm diameter.
