The first specimen was lot 911 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$376 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Frankreich, konigreich, Louis XVIII. 1814-1824. 5 Francs 1814 M, Toulouse. Première restauration. Vorzüglich. Feine Patina. (kingdom of France, Louis XVIII, 1814-24, five francs of 1814, Toulouse mint, first restoration. Extremely fine, Nicely toned.)"

This type was struck 1814-15 and this is a common date. The Toulouse mint also struck five francs for Napoleon in 1814.

Recorded mintage: 2,376,486 plus 368,947 struck for Napoleon.

Specification: 37 mm diameter, 25 grams, 0.900 fine silver, .723 troy oz AGW, the first specimen 24.83 g.
